Dr Matthieu Ratthe is a Canadian-trained General Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience working across hospital emergency departments and general practice in both rural and suburban communities throughout Quebec and British Columbia. Originally from Quebec, Canada, Dr Ratthe is passionate about providing patient-centred, evidence-based healthcare and values building long-term relationships with patients and their families.

With a broad clinical background spanning emergency medicine and family medicine, Dr Ratthe enjoys caring for patients of all ages and supporting individuals and families through every stage of life. He is committed to delivering comprehensive, personalised care with a focus on preventative health, chronic disease management, health assessments, and continuity of care. Dr Ratthe believes that strong doctor–patient relationships are the foundation of effective healthcare and works collaboratively with patients to help them achieve their health and wellbeing goals.

Fluent in both English and French, Dr Ratthe is pleased to support patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. He and his wife have relocated to the Sunshine Coast with their two children and are excited to become part of the local community.

Outside of work, Dr Ratthe enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly swimming, hiking, and cycling.
